I turned VH1 on earlier so that I could have some background music and all of the sudden I hear a familiar voice from the set. It took a few moments, but I recognized it as Anastacia. When I was in high school I was a huge fan, and with my brain's capacity for storing useless information I can still tell you the names of about 95% of her songs from listening to any part of the song. So I was surprised to discover that I didn't recognize the song. So I went over to look at the video and try and figure out if I had forgotten, if the video never made it to Israel, or what.

When that little slide came at the end of the song and I saw that it was brand new! The part of me that kept wondering was happened to her after her surgery was happy to see her well. The song... well, I didn't like it that much. Too much bass, and the lyrics are silly. But the high school fan girl in me is pleased: the powerful voice is the same, the rest is cosmetics anyway.
